Ce lieu de vacances est idéalement situé dans une région riche en bastides, en marchés (Issigeac à moins de 5 minutes) et vignobles. Le séchoir est très bien équipé et la piscine un plus pour se détendre. N'oublions pas le jardin : un havre de paix et un enchantement des yeux. L'accueil et l'hospitalité de Gérard et Christine (et de leurs filles) ont contribué largement à la réussite de notre séjour. Au moment de quitter ce lieu un seul espoir ; pouvoir y revenir.

Venus pour une courte semaine, nous avons été très bien accueillis par Gérard et Christine. Le site est juste magnifique, calme. « The stay at Christine and Gerard's La Barrat was faultless. The hosts were kind and welcoming - we were even welcomed with flowers from the garden they had picked on the day. The cottage is in the middle of the garden with a beautiful view for outdoor lunches. They also have horses when you enter the property. What a fantastic 2 weeks' stay here, and how lucky were we with the weather! The pool was lovely and enjoyed most afternoons after trips to Villeral, Beaumont, Monflanquin , all will worth a visit. We had great evening meals at l' Atelier and for our last night at La Brucelière Gerard and Christine were wonderful hosts and their attention to detail is second to none. We will be back.

Thank you Gerard & Christine for your wonderfull hospitality. La Creche is ideally situated for visiting the bastides towns such as Monflanquin, Villeréal, Monpazier, Beaumont, Trémolat and Limeuil. We also appreciate the basilica at Penne d'Agenais (thanks for the recommendations Christine). Notre premier séjour à La Barrat, mais surement pas le dernier Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez Christine, Gérard et Zoé, dans tous les domaines. Le gite est parfaitement meublé, de belles terrasses et de très belles vues. La piscine est grande et agréable au milieu du vallon. Issigeac est un très joli village médiéval avec de très bons restaurants. La région mérite d'être visitée (Bergerac, Monbazillac, Villeréal, Monpazier...), et très agréable en vélo. Un grand merci à Christine et Gerard pour leur accueil chaleureux.

Wow ! That was our first thoughts when we arrive at your beautiful home. La Creche is just what we hoped for, an amazing, relaxing location to come back to on busy visit days out. And there is lots to see and do around here too, we especially enjoyed the Sunday morning shopping market and Thursday evening gourmet market in Issigeac! Canoing 22 km on the river Dordogne was also a highlight as visiting and sampling the delights of the stunning Chateau de Monbazillac. Thank you for being lovely hosts, we have had a super holiday.

Nous venons de passer une superbe semaine de vacances à la barrat. Le gîte est joli,spacieux,fonctionnel et très bien équipé dans un très beau cadre. Il est idéalement situé pour découvrir la région, à proximité de jolies bastides (montpazier,montflanquin,villereal,...) et à moins de 2 km d'issigeac, joli village moyenâgeux avec un marché très bien achalandé et toutes les boutiques nécessaires pour les courses. Nous avons également visité châteaux et dégusté du bon vin dans les caves alentours et du bon foie gras dans la ferme voisine.nous nous sommes également régalés au restaurant l"ancienne gare". Merci à Christine et Gérard pour nous avoir aidés à découvrir cette magnifique région et surtout pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse. Il y a tant de choses à faire et à voir que ce fût trop court ! Donc nous reviendrons! Nous recommandons ce gîte les yeux fermés mais ouvrez les tout grands quand vous y êtes !

We had a fantastic week in La Sechoir at La Barrat in May. The gite is very spacious, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. The surrounding area is beautiful and very peaceful and had several enjoyable walks down to the lake. Would recommend La Brucelière for a meal, the food and service was excellent. Do not miss the Sunday market at Issigeac, the hot food stalls are amazing. We spend very enjoyable days at Bergerac, Villereal, Monpazier, Limeuil and wine tasting at Chateau de Monbazilac, all highly recommended. Christine and Gerard are fabulous hosts, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return next year.

The location is in the middle of rural France close to Issigeac a charming medieval fortress town. The delightful surroundings of La Barrat and the kind and attentive hosts make a stay here very special . We love the place and the people and have booked a return next year. The accommodation is generously proportioned, well equipped and very comfortable. It is peaceful. The pool is stunning in a discrete location set in a backdrop of a small valley where the hay is cut each year when we are there. A simply gorgeous place to stay.
